Details, Itinerary

Leave the typical tourist routes behind and discover a side of the island where nature meets tradition and everyday local life.

Explore the authentic east coast of Gran Canaria, deeply connected to nature. This adventure is designed for travelers who want more than just sightseeing.

This unique experience takes you from a dramatic volcanic crater – where the island’s raw origins come to life – to a charming coastal village, where time seems to slow down. Feel the power of the Atlantic Ocean at an impressive natural coastal phenomenon, and explore the stunning landscapes of a valley rich in caves and history. Along the way, enjoy a relaxed Canarian tapas picnic, adding a delicious and authentic touch to your journey.

➣ During the tour we invite you to a cozy alfresco picnic where you can taste some of the products of Canarian gastronomy.

(This is not a main meal, we have selected picnic treats and snacks in the basket, which are often found on the table of the locals.)
If you follow a special diet or think you may need more than the provided picnic during the tour, we recommend bringing additional snacks or sandwiches with you.

On this tour, you can expect mostly easy walks on urban paths, with a few steps in some areas. This is not a hiking or climbing tour, but there is one section with uneven, rocky ground.
On cloudy days during the winter months (December–March), we recommend wearing long trousers and a sweater or light jacket. It can be windy along the coast, and in the mountains - at altitudes of over 600 meters - the temperature can drop to around 10°C.

Small group tour ensures a personalized experience with local insights.

9:00 am

Where we’ll meet

The tour begins in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria at 09:00. Meeting point is at the port exit (about 5 minutes walk from the gangway of your cruise ship.

We’ll be waiting for you outside the port (not in the terminal, but next to the El Muelle shopping center), directly to the right of the security checkpoint.

Nature’s volcanic power

Bandama Crater

Our Experience begins at the impressive Bandama crater, a striking volcanic landscape that tells the story of Gran Canaria’s powerful origins. From the peak, panoramic views stretch across the island’s interior, green vegetation, and the distant sea – the perfect way to start the day.
But wait: are we sure this striking crater is the result of a volcanic eruption?

The area is also a favorite with hikers, but we will discover the crater on a leisurely stroll from a different perspective: easy and accessible, NO hiking required.
Centuries of winemaking knowledge are slowly fading in the region. Climate change, economic transformation, and the rapid rise of tourism are shifting priorities away from agriculture. What does the future hold?

Feel the ocean breeze

Coastal Village with Cave Houses

Step into a lesser-known corner of Gran Canaria’s east coast, where time slows down and authenticity still thrives.
In this small coastal village in Telde, you’ll discover a unique black sand beach, a striking reminder of the island’s volcanic origins. The shoreline is framed by ancient lava formations and basalt rocks, creating a raw and unique landscape.
Look closely and you might even spot cave houses still lived in today – something surprisingly common on the island, yet always fascinating to experience up close.
There’s no rush here, no crowds – just the sound of the ocean, fresh sea air, and a true glimpse into authentic Canarian life.

Feel the power of the Atlantic

The “Breath of the Island”

Get ready for one of the most unique coastal experiences on Gran Canaria. The ocean doesn’t just meet the land – it breathes through it. As waves roll in and out of a volcanic cavity, the water pulses in a way that truly feels like the island’s own breath.
On calmer days, it’s almost hypnotic – gentle and rhythmic. But when the ocean turns wild, this place transforms completely, with powerful bursts of water and sound that are raw, dramatic, and unforgettable.
Step back, feel the energy, and experience the true power of the Atlantic.

From the present to the past

The Valley of Caves

The “valley of caves” is one of the most authentic and extraordinary places on the island. With its deep sense of tranquility, it offers the perfect contrast to the hustle and bustle of city life.
This grand valley is home to many cave houses that are still inhabited today, alongside unique cave restaurants, a souvenir shop, and even a small cave chapel. It offers a fascinating glimpse into the lives of the Guanches (the island’s aboriginal inhabitants) as well as the people who continue to live here today.
Together, we will explore several parts of this stunning valley.
Can you imagine life in such peaceful and calm surroundings?

Taste the Canarian flavors and vibe

Unique Canarian Tapas Picnic

And because we like to make things extra special, you’ll enjoy a unique Canarian Tapas Picnic in the heart of Gran Canaria. Homemade with love. Full picnic basket, local fruits and flavors you won’t find in any restaurant, pleasant atmosphere, great location.

We invite you to a real culinary experience!

It’s our way of letting you taste the island’s soul.

One last glance, the harbor at your feet

Las Palmas (viewpoint)

To conclude our tour we’ll stop in the capital at a viewpoint, overlooking Las Palmas where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the harbor and your cruise ship.

Plus many more great views and landmarks along the way.

Relax during the journey back to your hotel, where the tour concludes.
